Respect for the environment and sustainability
When we think to the environment, we imagine it in all its dimensions, towards which we carry on the utmost respect. The environment in its deeper mean, as a planet made up of land, water, air, flora and fauna. But also that environment more relevant to human beings, with their ethical principles and actions over time, as evidenced by history, culture and traditions.
Agriculture, more than any other human activity, allows us to constantly perceive the natural context in which we live. And it should be a relationship of love and respect, based on the awareness that it is from agriculture that we take everything that nourishes us, in one form or another.
We are fortunate to live in a part of the world where there are ancient and valuable traditions. We want to do our small part to keep them alive and pass them on to future generations, and we strive to create harmony between them and the modernity and innovation that characterise our era. We are convinced that this is a beautiful and achievable goal.
In our farming business, we have identified two key principles that underpin our work:
- environmental sustainability, pursued through organic farming, continuing along the path we have followed since the company was founded in the 1970s
- respect for people and work, inspired by our ethical principles that reject illegal and harmful forms of labour.
We are attentive to the signals we receive and with the humility of small business, we try to correct our inevitable mistakes in order to constantly improve.
Our guiding light is the objectives of Agenda 2030.
